MoneyFlow is an iPhone and iPad app for managing household finances, built for Vietnamese families. Each member records income and spending on their own device, the app syncs everything into one shared ledger, and it answers the everyday questions: how much is left this month, where the money is going, what is due next, and who should pay whom to split costs evenly.

The 0.x releases are internal development builds, used within the family. They are not on the App Store or TestFlight. This documentation describes what the app does at the time of writing.
Three principles
- Fast entry, minimal effort. The amount field groups thousands as you type, quick amounts are one tap away, and the category is picked from the note ("phở" becomes Food, "grab" becomes Transport), learning from the household's own habits. See Recording transactions.
- One shared, transparent ledger. Every member sees all household transactions. This is a deliberate choice so that cost splitting is accurate. See Family split and sync.
- The household owns its data. Data is stored on the device with SwiftData and encrypted while the device is locked. The sync server is run by the household itself, with no dependency on third-party services. See Security and privacy.
