# Installation and updates

> System requirements, theme activation and the self-hosted update mechanism.

## Requirements
- WordPress 6.x, WooCommerce, PHP 8.2 or later.
- Recommended: Nginx + PHP-FPM + MariaDB + Redis object cache.

## Activation
1. Upload the theme folder to `wp-content/themes/` and activate it under **Giao diện → Giao diện** (Appearance → Themes).
2. Open the **Tân Doanh Theme** menu to configure the homepage, mega menu, payment and installments.
3. Edit the header, footer and templates directly in the **Site Editor** (block theme).

## Self-hosted updates
The theme receives new versions from the phatdev.net update server. Each site has a license tied to its domain; when a new version is available, WordPress shows an update notice just like for any other theme.

## After updating
- If the server runs opcache without re-checking files, reload PHP-FPM so it picks up the new code.
- Delete only the page cache folder (`cache/all/`), never the whole cache folder.
- Every change carries a version number and is recorded in the [Changelog](https://phatdev.net/en/docs/tandoanh-theme/changelog).
